obligate anaerobe do not require oxygen-may in fact be poisoned by oxygen.(fermentation) Clostridium botulinum found in soil
facultative anaerobe bacteria that cana survive with or without oxygen can be found just about anywhere
Clostridium botulinum food that has not been properly sterilized can have this bacteria -causes botulism -form of food poisoning.
