The time a particular atom of C14 will decay. Unpredictable
The time requried for half of the atoms in a large sample of C14 to change it its decay product. Predictable
What is an uncomformity? A gap in the rock record. Some piece of the rock record is missing.
What is correlation? A process that allows us to st show that rocks or geologic events in different locations are similar in age or the same time.
