Who flew the first untethered hot air balloon? Where did they fly it and when did they fly it? Jean-François Pilâtre de Rozier and François Laurent d'Arlandes on November 21, 1783, in Paris, France, in a balloon created by the Montgolfier brothers
What do you need to lift an adult man's weight? a balloon about 4m (13ft) in radius with the air inside heated to a temperature of about 120°C (250°F)
How do hot air balloons float? Hot-air balloons float because the air trapped inside the balloon is heated up by a burner, making it less dense than the air outside
What is a Guillotine? Guillotine dates back to 1790s in the French Revolution. It was a machine with a heavy blade sliding vertically in grooves. It’s main purpose was beheading
Who invented the Guillotine? Its inventor was Dr. Joseph-Ignace Guillotin. He was also a surgeon. He wanted to find a more humane way of execution.
Why was the Inventor of the Guillotine so proud of it? Because it didn't discriminate between race, religion, or gender. It killed equally. HOORAY!
