LANDFORM is a word that describes a form of land
FLORA all plant life in an area
ANIMALS living things which do not use light to get energy and grow
NATURAL LANDSCAPE a landscape that is not influenced by humans
ARTIFICIAL LANDSCAPE a landscape created by humans
ISLAND is a piece of land that is surrounded by water.
HILL A hill is a raised area or mound of land.
CANYON a deep valley with very steep sides
LAKE is a large body of water surrounded by land on all sides.
MOUNTAIN is a very tall natural place on Earth
OCEAN is a large body of salt water that surrounds a continent.
CONTINENT there are seven: Africa, Antarctica, Asia, Australia, Europe, North America, and South America.
DESERT is a very dry area.
PENINSULA is a body of land that is surrounded by water on three sides.
POND A pond is a small lake
PLATEAU is a large, flat area of land that is higher than the surrounding land.
RIVER a body of water that flows into the ocean
VALLEY is a low place between mountains.
WATERFALL When a river falls off steeply
VOLCANO is a mountain that spews out lava from a hole
TRIBUTARY is a river that flows into a larger river.
ARCHIPELAGO is a group of islands
