Cell Membrane Outside boundary which regulates what comes in and out of the cell
Organelles tiny cell structures that carry specific functions within the cell
Cell Wall Rigid non-living material that protects, supports, and surrounds plant cells
Nucleus Controls all functions of the cell and contains chromatin (DNA)
Chromatin genetic material that instructs cell function (DNA)
nuclear membrane protects nucleus
Nucleolus Where ribosomes are made
Cytoplasm gel-like fluid between the nucleus and the cell membrane
Mitochondria converts food energy into useable energy
endoplasmic reticulum carries proteins and other materials from one part of the cell to another
Ribosomes produce protein
Golgi bodies receives proteins and other materials from endo retic and packages them up then distributes them to other arts of the cell
Chloroplasts PLANTS ONLY converts sun energy into food energy
