What types of rocks do shells and plants make up SOMETIMES? Sediment
What are the three most common Sediment rocks? Limestone, Sandstone, and Shale
How are Igneous rocks formed? By heat
When magma hardens and cools it becomes what? An Igneous rock
If the magma cools inside the volcano what are the Igneous rocks called? Intrusive rocks
If magma cools outside the volcano what are the Igneous rocks called? Extrusive rocks
What are the two most common Igneous rocks Granite and Basalt
All Metamorphic rocks were once what? Igneous or Sedimentary rocks
How may have the Igneous and Sedimentary rocks changed into Metamorphic? They may have changed by: Heat, Pressure, or movements of the earth.
What is the Streak of a rock? The powder it leaves behind when it is scraped along a surface
What is the light reflecting off a miniral The luster
What is Cleavage? The tendency of a miniral to break across flat sufaces
What is a minirals hardness? The minerals resistance to being scrached.
