Counter Example An example that contradicts a conclusion
Scientific Method A framework in which scientists can analyze situations, explain certain phenomena, and answer certain questions.
Observation Collection of data within the scientific method
Hypothesis An educated guess that attempts to explain an observation or answer a question
Theory A hypothesis that has been tested with a significant amount of data
Scientific Law A theory that has been tested by and is consistent with generations of data
Superconductivity The phenomenon in which certain substances at certain temperatures conduct electricity without any resistance
