Group 3 Vocab

TermDefinition
Biomes A large biotic community that is known for specific plants and animal species. Climate conditions are also part of biomes.
Community A grouping of interacting species taking up a given area.
Population The amount of animals or humans living in a specified place.
Taiga Evergreen Forests of Subactric Lands, covering large areas of Northern North America and Eurasia.
Deciduous Forest A forest that seasonally shed their leaves.
Tropical Rainforest Tropical Rainforests are a forest that has no dry season.
Desert An extemely dry area that haas small rainfalls, small amount of vegetation or absolutely no vegetation at all.
Renewable Resources Supplies that can be replaced or renewed.
Nonrenewable Resources Supplies that are not able to be replaced.
Succession The progress of replacement of one community by another.
invasive species A non-native species creating a disruptment and replacing native species.
