| mass | a measure of the amount of matter in an object |
| newton's first law of motion | An object at rest stays at rest and an object in motion stays in motion with the same speed and in the same direction unless acted upon by an unbalanced force. |
| electric current | the rate at which charges passed through a given point measured in amperes |
| potential difference | the difference in potential energy between two locations |
| voltage | an electromotive force or potential difference expressed in volts |
| insulator | a thing or substance used for insulation, in particular. a substance that does not readily allow the passage of heat or sound. |
| circut | an act or instance of going or moving around a circular journey or one beginning and ending at the same place; a round. |
| load | a device a device in a circuit that does work using electrical energy |
| conductor | a material that allows heat or electricity to flow through it easily |
| resistor | to a circuit that could restrict the flow of energy in having some fun with |
| switch | a device used to control the flow of current through a circuit |
| series circuit | a circuit in which the parts are joined one after another such that the current in each part is the same |
| parallel circuit | the circuit in which two parts are joined together and practice such that the potential difference across each part is the same |
| magnetic force | the force of attraction and repulsion generated by moving or spinning electric charges |
| magnetic field | area surrounding a magnet in which the magnetic force exist |
| electromagnet | a coil that has a soft iron core and that acts as a magnet when an electric current is the coil |
| electric motor | a device that converts electrical energy into mechanical energy |
| generator | a device that transforms mechanical energy into electrical energy |
