What is Blood? The liquid connective tissue
What is one of the functions of Blood? To transport oxygen and nutrients
What is another function of the Blood? To carry away carbon dioxide and waste
What are the 3 parts the Circulatory system is made out of? The Heart, Blood, and Blood Vessels
What is the function of the Circulatory system? It transports material to and from your cells
What does CARDIO and VASCULAR mean? CARDIO means heart and VASCULAR means vessel
What are the 2 types of blood? Oxygenated and Deoxygenated
What is the Heart? A muscular organ about the size of your fist that pumps oxygen poor blood into the lungs and oxygen rich blood into the body
How many times does your heart beat per minute? 72
What are the chambers your heart is made out of? Two upper chambers that are called Atrium, and two lower chambers are called Ventricles
What are Arteries? Blood vessels that direct blood away from the Heart
What are Veins? Blood vessels that direct blood back to the heart
