Natural Selection and the theory of eveolution

Charles Darwin Proposed a Mechanism for evolution called Natural Selection
Natural Selection Organisms that are bet adapted to an environment will survive and reproduce more then others
Overreproduction Each species produces more offspring than can survive
Variation Each individual has a unique combination of inherited traits
Adaptation A trait that is key to survival
Competition Individuals compete for resources such as food, water, space and mates. (Survival of the fittest)
Selection The individuals with the best traits will survive.
