TermDefinition
Dependent Variable The part of an experiment not modified, but is modified by the independent variable
Constant The part of an experiment that stays the same to ensure a fair trial
Freezing The phase change in which a gas or liquid is converted to a solid
Melting The phase change in which a solid is converted to a liquid
Vaporization The phase change in which a solid or liquid is changed to a gas
X Axis The axis on a graph where the independent variable rests: Horizontal
Independent Variable The modified part in your experiment
Y Axis The axis on a graph on which the dependent variable rests: Vertical
Electron The particle that orbits the nucleus and has a negative charge
Proton A particle that makes up nucleus and has a positive charge
Neutron A particle that makes up a nucleus that neutral charge
Cation An ion with a positive charge
Anion An ion with a negative charge
Temperature A way that heat and particle movement is measured
Scale Model A model of a real life object that can either be larger or smaller than the actual
