light waves

TermDefinition
Amplitude the distance between a waves mid point and its crest or trough
Transverse wave A wave in which the crest and trough move right angle to the direction of the waves travel.
creast The top of a wave
Wave length The distance between troughs.
Trough The bottom of a wave.
Frequency The number of waves crests or troughs that pass a point in a given time.
Light energy that you can see
Reflection Light that reflects of objects.
Refraction The bending of light rays as they enter a new medium.
color spectrum The visible colors from shortest to longest wave lenghs
