Light Waves

crest The high point on a wave
trough The low point on a wave
wavelength The length of a wave from point to point
frequency The number of waves that pass a point at a given amount of time
amplitude The distance between a waves mid-point and its crest to trough
transverse wave A wave in which the crest and trough both move at right angles to the derection of the waves travel
