Light waves

TermDefinition
Crest The top of a wave/ tip of a wave
Trough The bottom of a wave
Wavelength The length between two troughs or two crests
Frequency The number of troughs or crests in a wave ("loops" in a wave)
Amplitude The length/ distance between a trough and midpoint or a crest and midpoint.
Transverse Wave A type of wave when the troughs and crests move to the right direction
Reflection light bouncing off of an object
Refraction the bending of light rays as they enter a new medium
Color Spectrum ROYGBIV
Light energy that you can see
