Science Waves

QuestionAnswer
Crest The tip of a water or light wave.
Trough The bottom of a water or light wave.
Wavelength The length from trough to trough or crest to crest
Frequency The number of waves per time period
Amplitude The length from trough to crest or crest to trough
Transverse Wave The trough and crest are following the energy of a wave. It looks like just a normal wave
Light Energy that you can see
Reflection The light will bounce off an item. It depends on what surface it hits
Refraction The bending or light rays as they enter a new medium/air,glass,water
Color Spectrum The entire range of light wavelengths visible to the human eye
ROYGBIV Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet
