TermDefinition
Crest the high point of a wave
Trough the low point on a wave
Wavelength the distance between two points
Frequency number of waves that pass a point in a given amount of time
Amplitude distance between a wave's mid-point and its crest or trough
Transverse Wave a wave in which the crests and troughs move in right angles to the direction of the wave's travel
