QuestionAnswer
DNA Deoxyribonucleic Acid - the heredity material of most organisms
Nucleotide One of the structural components of DNA consisting of a base, a sugar (deoxyribose) and a phosphate
Adenine always pairs with... Thymine
Thymine always pairs with Adenine
Guanine always pairs with Cytosine
Cytosine always pairs with Guanine
Double Helix The shape of a DNA molecule, a twisted ladder shape
Nucleus The "brain" of the cell; Where DNA is located in most organisms.
Chromosome A single piece of coiled DNA found in the nucleus of a cell that is divided up into parts called genes.
Gene Specific stretches of DNA that code for different traits such has hair or eye color.
