|---|---|
| Force | A push or pull |
| Newton | The SI unit of force. It is to equal the force that would give a mass of one kilogram an acceleration of one meter per second. |
| Net Force | Net Force is the overall force acting on an object. |
| Unbalanced forces | It's when two forces acting on an object are in different size, causing a change in motion. |
| balanced forces | Two forces acting in same directions in an object , and equal in size. |
| Friction | The resistance that one surface or object encounters when moving over another. |
| Static friction | Lacking into movement, action, or change. |
| Sliding friction | Moving along a smooth surface while maintaining continuous contact with it. |
| Fluid friction | A substance that has no fixed shape, liquid. |
| gravity | the force that attracts the body toward the center of Earth. |
| mass | typical large body of matter with no definite shape. |
| weight | mass or quantity of matter contained by it giving it downward force. |
| free fall | The motion of a falling when the only force is acting on its gravity. |
| air resistance | The fluid friction experienced by objects falling through the air. |
| projectile | An object that is thrown. |
| compression | An elastic force that squeezes or pushes molecules in matter together. |
| tension | An elastic force that stretches or pulls on the molecules in matter. |
| inertia | The tendency of an object to resist any change in its object. |
| momentum | The product of an object's mass and velocity. |
| law of conservation of momentum | The rule that in the absence of outside forces the total momentum of objects that interact does not change. |
| satelite | Any object that orbits around another object in space. |
| centripetal force | A force that causes an object to move in a circle. |
