1 volcano A weak spot in the crust where molten material or magma comes to the surface

11 batholith a mass of rock formed when a large body of magma cools inside the crust
12 lava plateau flows of lava solidifying and creating a large plateau
13 extinct unlikely to erupt again
14 dormant hasn't erupted in a while but can still erupt
15 active erupting or showing signs of erupting in the near future
16 viscosity The physical property of liquids
17 silica material found in magma that is formed from oxygen and silicon
18 pahoehoe a hot fast-moving type of lava
19 aa cool slow-moving type of lava
20 compound a substance made of two or more elements that have been chemically combined.

24 crater A bowl-shaped area that forms around a volcano’s central opening.

27 caldera The large hole at the top of a volcano formed when the roof of a volcano’s magma chamber collapses.
