Volcano

Volcano a mountain or hill, typically conical, having a crater or vent through which lava, rock fragments, hot vapor, and gas are being or have been erupted from the earth's crust
Lava hot molten or semifluid rock erupted from a volcano or fissure, or solid rock resulting from cooling of this.
Magma hot fluid or semifluid material below or within the earth's crust from which lava and other igneous rock is formed by cooling.
Ring of Fire is a major area in the basin of the Pacific Ocean where a large number of earthquakes and volcanic eruptions occur
Hot Spot a small area or region with a relatively hot temperature in comparison to its surroundings.
Shield Volcano gently sloping mountain formed by repeated lava flows.
Composite Volcano cone-shaped mountain formed from ash, cinders, and bombs.
Cinder Cone Volano mountain formed by lava flows alternating with explosive eruptions.
Sill Dike tabular sheet intrusion that has intruded between older layers of sedimentary rock, beds of volcanic lava or tuff, or even along the direction of foliation in metamorphic rock.
Batholith a very large igneous intrusion extending deep in the earth's crust.
Lava Plateau high, level area formed by repeated lava flows.
Extint (of a volcano) not having erupted in recorded history.
Dormant volcanoes that have erupted within historical times and are expected to erupt again.
Active that has had at least one eruption during the past 10,000 years.
