Competence Being qualified and capable of performing a task. Follow instructions, use approved procedure and strive for accuracy
Dependability Being prompt in reporting to work, maintain a good attendance record. Perform assigned tasks on time and accurately
Empathy Being able to identify with and understand another person's feelings, situation, and motives
Discretion Keeping confidential information secret. Being discreet and ensure that the patient's rights aren't violated
Enthusiasm Enjoy work and display a positive attitude. Concentrating on the positive points and encouraging others
Honesty Truthfulness and integrity. Others must be able to trust you. Must be willing to admit mistakes so they can be corrected
Patience Being tolerant and understanding. Control temper in difficult situations. Deal with frustration and overcome obstacles.
Personal Hygiene Health care workers work in close contact areas. Bathe daily, brush hair and teeth, use deodorant. Avoid perfumes and heavy colognes
Responsibility Being willing to be held accountable for your actions. Doing what you're supposed to be doing
Self-Motivation The ability to begin or follow through with a task. Setting goals for yourself and work to reach them.
Tact Having the ability to say or do the kindest, most fitting thing in a difficult situation in consideration of others feelings
Team Player Learn to work well with others. Each person must do his or her part to accomplish goals faster as a team
Willingness to learn To learn and adapt to changes. Learning new techniques or procedures. Be prepared for lifetime learning.
