| Drama | A play written to tell a story |
| Dialogue | When characters in a story speak. |
| Act | A collection of scenes that make up the major parts of a play. |
| Scene | A part of a play that takes place on one location. Many scenes make up an act. |
| Props | Objects to decorate the set of a play. Example: chairs, books, tables. |
| Stage Directions | Instructions in a play indicating the movement and directions of the actors on the stage. |
| Conflict | The main problem the characters encounter. |
| Plot | The development of a story. Exposition, Rising Action, Climax, Falling Action and Resolution |
