Describe the properties of matter.

TermDefinition
Matter Anything that has mass and takes up space.
Atoms Smallest basic unit of matter.
Molecules Two or more atoms bonded together.
Pure Only has one type of atom or molecule.
Mixed Made of many substances.
Mass How much matter is in an object.
Weight The downward pull of gravity on a object.
Volume The amount of space an object occupies.
Density The amount of space in a given volume.
