The Good Deed Vocab

TermDefinition
trite Boring because it is overused; not fresh or original. Example: The saying, "green like grass," is trite because it is overused and not creative.
impaired Being in a less than perfect condition. Example: I got hearing aides because my hearing was impaired and I couldn't hear my teacher.
generic Having no particularly distinctive or noteworthy quality. Example: I wanted a new dress to wear to the school dance, but when I went to the store they all looked plain and generic.
pert Offensively bold; saucy Example: A pert answer will not be liked by your parents when they ask where you have been.
accusation The act of charging someone with wrongdoing or accusing someone of doing something wrong. Example: I was blamed for throwing food at lunch. I was upset by this incorrect accusation.
incredibly Unbelievably Example: My friend is such an incredibly good singer that people pay her to sing at their parties.
