Nucleus Controls the cell and contains DNA
Cell Membrane Holds the cell together
Cell Wall Protects plant cells and gives it support
Cytoskeleton Supporting framework of the cell
Mitochondria Transforms chemical energy into sugars
Chloroplasts Preform photosynthesis in plant cells
Ribosomes Put together amino acids to make protiens
Endoplasmic Recticulum (ER) Provides areas for the processing molecules and provide transportation for these molecules around the cell
Smooth ER Produces lipids, breaks down molecule like aspirin, transports molecules
Rough ER Produces and transports protiens
Golgi Apparatus Modifies and adds special parts to cell products, makes protiens and lipids
Lysosomes Digests molecules, destroys/recycles cell part or organelles
Vacuoles Storage of water or food
Placids Sac- like structures that store pigments or starch in plant cells
Cytoplasm Contains the cell organelles
Vesicles transport material around the cell
