Atom The basic/ smallest unit of a chemical element.
Proton A particle in the atoms nucleus that has a positive charge.
Neutron A particle in an atoms nucleus that has no electrical charge.
Electron A particle in an atom with a negative charge.
Solution A physical combination of two or more pure substances.
Compound When two or more elements are chemically bonded together.
Element A basic substance made up of only one kind of atom.
