| Term | Definition |

| 1. Cookie | Message given to a Web browser by a Web server. The browser stores the message in a text file. The message is then sent back to the server each time the browser requests a page from the server. |
| 2. Domain Name | Are used to identify one or more IP addresses. |
| 3. ISP | Short for Internet Service Provider, it refers to a company that provides Internet services, including personal and business access to the Internet. |
| 4. Host | A computer system that is accessed by a user working at a remote location. Typically, the term is used when there are two computer systems connected by modems and telephone lines. |
| 5. Kilobyte | Is 1,024 bytes, but it is often used loosely as a synonym for 1,000 bytes. |
| 6. Megabyte | When used to describe data storage, 1,048,576 (2 to the 20th power) bytes. |
| 7. Network | Is defined as a group of two or more computer systems linked together. |
| 8. Node | In networks, a processing location. Can be a computer or some other device, such as a printer. |
| 9. Cortana | A voice-controlled virtual assistant for Microsoft Windows Phone 8.1. |
| 10. Protocol | An agreed-upon format for transmitting data between two devices. |
