Measuring in the Metric System

TermDefinition
Liter The metric unit used to measure liquid.
Meter The metric unit used to measure length.
Gram The metric unit used to measure mass.
Metric System A measuring system based on 10 used by the worldwide scientific community.
Graduated Cylinder A tube used to measure liquids in the laboratory.
Beaker A cup with a spout used to pour and measure liquids in the laboratory.
Meter Stick A yardstick +3 more inches approximately. One meter equals 100 centimeters.
One Kilogram Equals 2.2 pounds.
