independent variable the variable in an experiment that is tested
qualitative observation uses your senses to observe the results. (sight, smell, touch, taste and hear)
quantitative observation observations that are made with instruments such as rulers, balances, graduated cylinders, beakers, and thermometers
metric unit of temperature degree celsius
controlled variable the variable in an experiment that stays the same
metric unit of length meter
dependent variable the variable in an experiment that shows the results
metric unit of mass gram
metric unit of volume liter
metric system a system of weights and measured based on the meter on the kilogram
