Cells a small room in which a prisoner is locked up or in which a monk or nun sleeps
Cell theory a basic tenet of modern biology, first stated by Matthias Schleiden and Theodor Schwann in 1838–39, that cells are the basic units of structure and function in living organisms
unicellular having or consisting of a single cell
multicellular composed of several or many cells.
tissue A tissue is a group of similar cells that work together to form a specific function.
organ An organ such as your brain is made up of different kinds of tissues to work together.
organ system A organ system is a group of cells that work together to perform a major function.
