Scientific Method

QuestionAnswer
What is scientific method? an organized set of steps that is used to solve a problem
what is focus question? the purpose or reason to do an investigation
What is hypothesis? IF, THEN statement that makes a prediction to solve a problem
What is materials? List of items needed for experiment.
What is procedure? Step by step instructions
What is independent variable? One factor in an experiment that be changed or is different
What dependent variable? One factor that measured or tested.
What is a constant? Factors in an experiment that do NOT change.
What is data? Information that has been measured or observed in an experiment.
What is a claim? A statement that is made that is true.
What is evidence? Facts given to support the claim or truth.
That is conclusion? An experiment that is given to prove an hypothesis true or false.
what is reflection? Thinking and examining your thoughts.
