Photosynthesis & Respiration

TermDefinition
Photosynthesis The process of making food using sunlight.
Stomata Tiny pores found in leaves and stems that allow the exchange of gasses.
Carbohydrate A substance made from carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen that is an important source of energy.
Cellular Respiration The energy in carbohydrates is released when the cells of organisms use oxygen to break down sugar.
