TermDefinition
Producer organism that produces its own food. Includes the organisms in the plant kingdom.
Vascular plants plants that have tubes to transport the water and the glucose to various parts.
Nonvascular plants plants with no vascular tubes. Obtain resources directly from the environment,
Monocot plant with one cotyledon whose leaves are long and narrow and whose vascular bundles are arranged randomly.
Dicot plant with two cotyledons. Vascular bundles are arranged in a circular pattern.
Angiosperm flowering plants
Gymnosperm cone
Roots structure of the plant that takes in the water.
Photosynthesis process where plants make glucose
Respiration process where the food is broken down into a usable form.
Stem supports the plant
Phototropism plant’s response to light.
Thigmotropism plant’s response to touch
