Hypocentre Where an earthquake starts.
Epicentre Area directly above hypocentre on the surface.
Earthquake Shaking of the ground.
Tectonic Plates Parts where the Earths crust is broken up.
Pangea Supercontinent.
Inner Core Centre of the Earth.
Outer Core Directly above inner core.
Mantle Directly above outer core.
Crust Surface of the Earth
Nepal Country in Asia.
Life Expectancy How long people will live for.
P Waves Primary waves. It is the fastest wave.
S Waves Secondary waves.
Surface Waves Seismic waves on the surface of the Earth.
Seismic Waves Energy released during an earthquake.
Compression When tectonic plates push against each other.
Tension When tectonic plates pull away from each other.
Shearing When tectonic plates slide along each other.
Red Cross An organization designed to help people all over the Earth.
