Model | A pattern, plan, representation or description designed to show the structure or workings of an object, system, or concept. |
Physical Model | Model you can touch, but they have limitations in accuracy. Such as a model car or a model of an atom. |
Mathematical Model | Constructed from mathematical equations and data to calculate or prediction information, such as population growth or weather patterns. |
Conceptual Model | Is a system of ideas or comparisons that support an idea such as the Big Bang Theory. |
Theory | An explanation that ties together many hypothesis and observations. |
Climate Model | Using mathematical model scientists are able to input data and predict climate patterns. |
