| Earthquakes- | They are ground movements that occur when blanks of rock in Earth move suddenly and release energy. |
| Focus- | Is a place where within Earth along at fault at which the first motion of an Earthquake occurs. |
| Epicenter- | Its directly above the focus on Earth's surface. |
| Tectonic Plate boundary- | Two or more plates meet. |
| Fault- | A break in the Earth's crust which blocks of rock move. |
| Deformation- | Process by which rock becomes deformed and changes shape due to stress. |
| Elastic Rebound- | The return of rock to it's original shape after elastic deformation. |
| Volcano- | It's anywhere where gas, ash, or melted rock come out of the ground. |
| Magma- | Melted rock that is less than solid rock so it rises toward the surface. |
| Lava- | It's magma that has reached earth's surface. |
| Vent- | Opening of a volcano. |
| Tectonic Plates- | Giant sections of the lithosphere on earth's surface. |
| Hot Spot- | Location where a column of extremely hot mantle rock rises through the asthenosphere. |
