Earthquakes ground movements that occur when blocks of rocks in Earth move suddenly and release energy .
Focus A place within Earth along a fault at which the first motion of an earthquake occur .
Epicenter is a point directly above the focus on Earth's surface
Tectonic Plate Boundary is were two or more tectonic plates meet
Fault is a break in Earth's crust along which blocks of rocks move
Deformation is the process by which rocks become deformed and changes shape due to stress.
Elastic Rebound the ruturn of rocks to its original shape after elastic deformation .
Volcano any place were gas, ash, or melted rock come out of the ground.

Lava is magma that has reached the Earth's surface
Vent opening of a volcano
Tectonic Plates are giant sections of lithosphere on Earth's surface
Hot Spot is a location where a column of extremely hot mantle rock, called mantle plume ,rises through the asthenosphere .
