biome a large scale ecosystem
tropical rain forest a hot, humid biome near the equator , with much rainfall and a wide variety of life.
decidous forest a forest biome with many kinds of trees that lose their leaves each autumn.
grassland a moderate temperature biome with light rainfall and various grasses present
deserts a sandy or rocky biome, with little precipitation and little plant life
taiga a cool, forest biome of conifers in the upper nprthern hemisphere
tundra a cold treeless biome of the far north, marked by spongy topsoil.
saltwater ecosystem have tides, an upper region with many fish whales, and a dark bottom
freshwater ecosystem most lakes, streams, rivers and ponds
estuary a mixture of fresh and salt water
