Parts of the Guitar
| Term | Definition |
|---|---|
| Head Stock | Holds all six tuning pegs. Is found at the head of the guitar |
| Tuning Peg | Adjust the sound of each string. There are six to match the six strings |
| Fret | Represents one semitone in the standard system, in which one octave is divided into twelve semitones |
| Nut | Is located near the top of the neck. Spaces each string evenly and raises the string at the proper height |
| Neck | The neck on the guitar holds the frets, fretboard, tuners, headstock, and truss rod |
| Fret Board | Fret board is along the neck of the guitar and it holds the frets |
| Body | Near the end. Holds the end of the strings |
| Bridge | The device that supports the strings |
| Saddle | Physically supports the string |
| String | There are six. They are what make the sounds using vibrations |
