| Humid | Damp; high amount of water held in the air (chemical weathering) |
| Hydration | Occurs when certain minerals are dissolved by water ( chemical weathering |
| Meanders | Bends or curves in a stream or river |
| moraine | Piles of sediment that are left by the front of a glacier as it receds |
| Oxidation | Breakdown of rocks by chemical reactions of the rock with oxygen ; rust ( chemical weathering) |
| Parallel/scratches | Created when a glacier scrapes over the rocks below it acting like a giant piece of sandpaper |
| Physical weathering | Breakdown of rocks into smaller pieces without a change in rock type |
| Soil | Composed of weathered rock particles and organic matter; sustains plant growth |
