| cell | the smallest unit of an organism that preforms life functions |
| nucleus | a structure found in eukaryotic cells that contain DNA and is responsible for controlling the activities of the cell |
| eukaryotic | a cell containing a membrane-enclosed nucleus and organelles |
| prokaryotic | a cell lacking a nucleus or any other membrane -enclosed organelles |
| unicellular | an organism made up of one single cell |
| multicellular | an organism made up of more than one cell,and often made up of different types |
| classification | the process of grouping things based on similarities |
| domain eukarya | organisms with cells that contain a nucleus |
| sexual | a method of reproduction that require's both male and female parent |
| asexual | a method of reproduction that requires only one parent |
| autotroph | an organism that is able to make its own food;known as a producer in the chain |
| kingdom | a taxonomic rank below the Domain 6 Groups:Animal,fungi,plantae,protista,archaea,and eubacteria |
| classification | the process of things based on similarities |
| domain Bactria | prokaryotic,single-celled organisms that lacks a nucleus in its cells |
| domain | the highest and largest rank of grouping organisms three groups ;Archaea,Bacteria,and Eukarya |
| cell theory | states that all living organisms are made up of 1 or more cells;cells are the basic unit of life and all cells come from other cells |
| domain archaea | prokaryotic,single-celled organisms that lacks a nucleus in its cell |
| taxonomy | the branch of science that formally names and classifies organisms by their structures,function and relationship |
