| taxonomy | -the branch of science that formally names and classifies organism s by their structure function and relationship |
| domain | -the highest and largest rank of grouping organisms three groups: Archaea,Bacteria,and Eukarya |
| Domain Bacteria | -prokaryotic ,single celled organism that lacks a nucleus in its cell |
| domain Archaea | -prokaryotic,single celled organism that lacks a nucleus in its cell and can live in extreme enviornments |
| domain Eukarya | -organism with cells that contain a nucleus |
| kingdom | -a taxonomic rank below Domain 6 groups : Animalia ,Archaea,and Eubacteria |
| autotroph | -an organism that is able to make its own food:know as a consumer in the food chain |
| asexual reproduction | -a method of reproduction that requires only 1 parent 100% DNA |
| sexual reproduction | -a method of reproduction that requires both male and female each 50% |
| cell theory | -a state that all living organisms are made up of 1 or more cells cells are the basic unit of life and all cells come from other cells |
| cell | -the smallest unit of an organism that performs life functions |
| nucleus | -a structure found in eukaryotic cells that contain DNA and is responsible for controlling the activities of the cell |
| eukaryotic | -a cell contain ing a membrane -enclosed organelles |
| prokaryotic | -a cell lacking a nucleus or any other membrane -enclosed organelles |
| unicellular | -an organism made up of one single cell |
| multicellular | -an organism made up of more than one cell,and often made up of different types |
| kingdom Archeabacteria | -unicellular,asexual,auto and hererotroph,eukaryotic organism; that live in a extreme environments |
| kingdom Eubacteria | -unicellular,asexual,auto and hererotroph,eukaryotic organism; that live in moderate environments |
| kingdom protista | -uni-and multicellular sexual or asexual auto-and hetereotrophic ,eukaryotic organism that are microscopic |
| kingdom fungi | uni-and multi-cellular sexual or asexual ,hetereotrophic ,eukaryotic organism; known as a decomposer in the food chain |
| kingdom Plantae | multi-cellular ,sexual or asexual , autotrophs ,eukaryotic organism; known as a producer on the food chain |
| kingdom Animilia | multicellular,sexual and asexual ,hetereotrophs ,euykaryotic organisms;known as consumer in the food chain |
