| unicellular | an organism made up of one single cell |
| multicellular | an organism made up of more than one cell,and often made up of different types |
| classifiction | the process of grouping things based on similarities |
| taxonomy | the branch of science that formally names and classifies organisms by their structure function and relationship |
| domain | the highest and longest rank of grouping organisams three groups:archea ,bacteria,and eukary |
| domain bacteria | prototypical,single-celled organism that lacks a nucleus in its cell |

| heterotroph | an organism that CANNOT make its own food; known as a consumer in the food chain |
| asexual reproduction | a method of reproduction that requires only one parent 100% DNA from 1 parent |
| sexual reproduction | a method of reproduction that requires both male and female parent 50% from 1 50% from 1 parent |
| cell theory | states that all living organisms are made up of 1 or more cells; cells are the basic unit of life and all cells come from other cells |
