cell A small room in which a prisoner is locked up or in which a monk or run sleeps.
passive transport It is a movement of biochemicals and other atomic or molecular substances across the cell membranes without need of energy input.
diffusion The spreading of something more widely.
low concentration The formal definition a concentration gradient is the process of particles.
high concentration A high concentration of a substance in a solution means that there's a lot of it relative to the volume.
transport protein A transport protein is a protein that serves the function of moving other materials within an organism.
endocytosis The taking in of matter by a living cell by invagination of its membrane to form a vacuole.
exocytosis A process by which the contents of a cell vacuole are released to the exterior through fusion of the vacuole membrane with the cell membrane
