What is a sea breeze? During the day in the land warms up and faster than the sea. Because cool air is denser then cooler air over the sea moves over the land.
What is land breeze? At night, the land loses heat faster than the sea dose, so the cooler, denser air over the land moves back towards the sea.
What is one layer of atmosphere that starts with T? Troposphere: maintain 90% of atmospheric gases. Almost weather happened atmosphere.
What is one layer of atmosphere that starts with S? Stratosphere: It contains ozone.
What is one layer of atmosphere that starts with O? Ozone: it protects earth (and us) from the suns harmful rays.
What is one type of cloud that starts with C? Cumulus clouds are puffy. They indicate far weather but can develop
What is one type of cloud that starts with S? Stratus Clouds form low in the atmosphere. They usually cover the sky. Heavy precipitation does not usually fall from these clouds
Identify two major ocean current Peruvian and Antarctic
How do major ocean currents affect whether in certain areas? Peruvian is it warm and telling to heads down to the south west.
Atmosphere A blanket of air
Air pressure The weight of the the air in the atmosphere in one unit area greatest to the sea
Convection currents The upward and downward movement of air in the atmosphere
Local wind When that results from local changes in temperature
Prevailing wind a global wind that blows constantly from the same direction
Current A stream flows like a river
Humidity The amount of water vapor in the air
Meteorology The study of weather
Barometer an instrument for measuring or pressure
Anemometer instrument for measuring wind speed
Hygrometer instrument for measuring humidity
Front A place where two air masses meet
