Fossil Fuels

natural resources anything from nature that people use. Made by nature, used by man.
fossil fuels a nonrenewable fuel, such as coal, oil, and natural gas, formed from the remains of once living things.
coal a solid fossil fuel created from partially decayed ancient plants buried over millions of years.
oil (petroleum) a liquid fossil fuel created from dead organisms in the ocean buried over millions of years
natural gas a gas fossil fuel created from dead organisms in the ocean buried over millions of years
nonrenewable resources a resource that, once used, cannot be replaced in a reasonable amount of time
fossils the remains or trace of a plant or animals that live long ago that is found in sedimentary rock
