Abiotic factor a nonliving part of the environment
Biotic factor a living part of the environment
Cycle A chain of events that continuously repeats
Water Cycle Evaporation → Condensation → Precipitation → Collection
Carbon Cycle Carbon atoms move through ecosystems by the processes of photosynthesis, respiration, ingestion, decomposition, and pollution.
Nitrogen Cycle Nitrogen atoms move through the ecosystem (air, soil, plants, animals, decomposers) through nitrogen fixation, ingestion, cell transport, and decomposition.
