Sciencescience
Wave Is the use of force to move an object some distances.
Medium Is the meterial-solid liquid or gas through which a wave can travel.
Crest The pointss where the wave is highest.
Trough The ponits where the waves is lowest.
Longitudinal wave Particles move back and forth in the same direction that the wave travels.
Compression Engrey is transfred from one end of the spring toy to another.
Rarefraction When you spread the coils apart.
Transverse wave Wave,the spring coils move up and down.
Mechanical waves Waves that require a meduim.
Amplitude is a measure of how for particles in the meduim move from their rest postion.
Wavelength Is defined as the distance from any ponit on a wave to the next identical ponit on the same wave.
Frequency Is the number of waves that pass a ponit in a given amount of time usually one second.
Hertz One hertz is equal to one wavelength per second.
Wave speed The speed that waves travel.
Power In a phyicial amount energy put out of or produced in agiven amount of time.
Work Activity in which one exerts strength or faclties to do or perform something.
