Work, Power, Waves

Definition of Force: Strength or energy as an attribute of physical action or movement.
Definition of Work: An activity involving mental or physical effort done in order to achieve a purpose or result.
Definition of a Wave: A disturbance which is caring energy from one location to another through a medium.
Definition of a Medium: An object which helps carry a wave of energy to a location.
Definition of a Crest: The top of a wave.
Definition of a Trough: The bottom of a wave.
Definition of a Longitudinal Wave: Waves in which the displacement of the medium is in the same direction as or the opposite direction.
Definition of Compression: Occurs when an area is tightly packed with energy in a wave.
Definition of Rarefaction: The lessening of energy in a location.
Definition of a Transverse Wave: A wave of energy vibrating which makes it wave up and down.
Definition of Mechanical Waves: Is a wave that is made when a physical event occurs.
Definition of Electromagnetic Waves: One of the waves that is formed by periodic vibrations.
Definition of Amplitude: The maximum extent of a waves crest and trough.
Definition of Wavelength: The distance between either the crests or troughs of a wave.
Definition of Frequency: The rate at which something occurs.
Definition of Hertz: The SI unit of frequency.
Definition of Wave Speed: Is the speed at which a wave travels.
Definition of Power: Is the rate (energy amount per time period) at which work is done or energy converted.

Does a low frequency wave have a longer wavelength than a high frequency wave? Yes because the energy particles are more spread out in the low frequency wave.
What way do the particles of a longitudinal wave move? They move parallel.
